The Alabama State Department of Education is conducting a statewide survey concerning some of the perceptions on public education in the state – and we need YOUR help. From Tuesday, September 10, 2019, until Thursday, October 10, 2019, we will embark upon the TAKE 10 FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION survey; an attempt to capture the opinions of a broad spectrum of Alabamians.

We will reach out to teachers, principals, students, superintendents, legislators, retirees, military families, faith communities, education advocates and agencies, chambers of commerce, and many others, to see how people in the state of Alabama feel about a variety of issues facing public education today.

The compilation of this data is instrumental to the ALSDE and our development of a Strategic Plan for Alabama’s public schools. The TAKE 10 FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION survey was designed to allow officials at the ALSDE to have a glimpse into the vantage point of Alabamians from every walk of life.

The survey may only take 10 minutes to complete, but the impact on the department’s Strategic Plan will resonate for years to come.
